User Tips for Temporary Grain Storage Bins When harvested in very hot conditions, large capacity bins should be monitored for heating Open the tarp on cool days and allow heat to escape Your grain pile should be well shaped to a point - use a spout on your loader Bin needs to be completely filled to top of the walls. Fold your tarp in 1/2, then work the folded half up and over your grain pile. There is never any need to stand on the grain pile
